eSim (previously known as Oscad / FreeEDA) is a free/libre and open-source EDA tool for circuit design, simulation, analysis, and PCB design. It is an integrated tool built using free/libre and open-source software such as KiCad, Ngspice, GHDL, OpenModelica, Verilator, Makerchip, and SkyWater SKY130 P DK. eSim is released under GNU General Public License.

What's your open-source villain origin story?

I wanted students to have access to a free EDA tool. Next thing I knew, I was debugging SPICE models, packaging releases, answering support emails, and explaining why 'it works on my machine' is not a valid test plan.
